DESCRIPTION
A cracking bottling from Glenrothes distillery, forming part of their heavily sherried Soleo range, which was first launched in Autumn 2018.
Whisky Maker’s Cut has been entirely matured in first-fill sherry casks, and as such is packed with notes of dried fruits, orange rind, cinnamon, nutmeg, toffee, creamy vanilla custard, dark chocolate, black cherries, dark oak and slight leather. The classic Glenrothes floral and nutty character is also present.
Bottled at a higher 48.8% ABV, this is a dram full in both texture and flavour.
A tour de force bottling that is a testament to the expertise of Glenrothes’s Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion.
