Distilled in 2009, this 13-year-old Auchroisk is aged in bourbon casks and finished in Côte Rôtie casks. It is bottled at a reduced strength of 45%. Reviewed and modified several times since its creation in 1968, this range has managed to preserve all its quality and essence. The Connoisseurs Choice single malts, all from unique casks, invite enthusiasts to discover unique expressions from Scotland’s finest distilleries, across different strengths, finishes, years, and profiles.
TASTING NOTES
Nose : Rich caramel aromas lead to ripe currants and a hint of sweet citrus zest. Licorice and strawberry are balanced by a gentle white pepper.
Palate : Sweet summer fruit flavors combine with clementine and a hint of roasted coffee beans. Cinnamon and ginger spices then come to the fore.
Finish : A medium finish with a touch of fresh mint.
