Planteray Rum 5 Years Old Barbados pays tribute to the island widely considered the birthplace of rum, where centuries of expertise and ideal tropical conditions create spirits of exceptional balance. Distilled from Barbadian molasses and aged for five years in ex-bourbon casks under the island’s warm, humid climate, this expression was then shipped to Château de Bonbonnet in Southwest France for a second maturation in small Ferrand oak barrels. This double-ageing technique lends added depth, roundness and structure, enriching the natural character of Barbados rum with subtle French oak refinement.
The result is a generous, pastry-driven rum with layers of ripe fruit, chocolate and soft spice, offering a beautifully rounded profile ideal for sipping or in cocktails.
