Chichibu Red Wine Cask 2023 is a single malt whisky aged in red wine casks. The casks themselves come from vineyards located in France, the United States, New Zealand, and Japan, contributing to the creation of deep and complex flavors. In order to make the most of its characteristics, this whisky has not been cold-filtered and has a natural color. The used casks allow the whisky to mature on its lees, which is an integral part of the aromatic profile of this bottling.

Colour : Copper with red hues.

Nose : The Chichibu distillery has used the finest red wine casks from around the world to create this unique edition. The nose already announces the masterpiece to come, with a complex balance of honey, fine wood, and fruits (medlar, forest berries, citrus).

Palate : The rich flavors derived from the red wine casks begin with fruity notes. Blueberry is accompanied by the freshness of citrus and medlar. Mint and licorice notes maintain this freshness, becoming more vegetal but also woody with elegant cedar. Bitter notes like cocoa offer a beautiful structure with a smooth sweetness on fine caramel.

Finish : The finish is long, with a pleasant bitterness on notes of cloves and candied orange peel. The sweetness persists until the end with a sensation of milk chocolate.
