A tribute to the founding father of Japanese whisky, Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a refined blended malt that brings together the signature styles of Nikka’s two legendary distilleries: Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Crafted exclusively from malt whiskies (with no grain whisky), this “Pure Malt” expression showcases the art of marrying contrasting characters—structure and smoke from Yoichi, elegance and fruit from Miyagikyo.
This latest rendition is composed primarily of sherry cask maturation, combining Yoichi sherry casks with Miyagikyo sherry and remade casks. The result is a whisky of remarkable freshness and precision: lightly peated, subtly saline, yet bursting with citrus, florals and exotic fruit.
