A young, smoky single malt from Elixir Distillers' Elements of Islay series, Oc6 offers aromas of sea salt, iodine, lemon, maraschino cherries, caramel and ginger. The palate gives notes of rich peat smoke, cracked black pepper, grapefruit, marmalade and rye bread.
Octomore, produced on Islay by the Bruichladdich distillery, is quite simply the most peated whisky in the world. An indomitable beast for true peat lovers! This Oc6, distilled in 2011 and aged for 8 years in ex Bourbon barrels, unleashes notes of acrid and pungent smoke, but also has a pleasant and citrusy freshness.
Visionary Sukhinder Singh created a brilliant new selection of Scottish malts, Elements of Islay, a few years ago to celebrate the medicinal character of these whiskies by using pharmaceutical laboratory bottles and using the periodic table to indicate the different distilleries , ie the elements of the Islay. All bottlings are full grade, natural color whiskeys from small batches of 5-20 barrels carefully selected by the Sukhinder team.
