Elements of Islay Cask Edit is part of the new Elements of Islay trilogy by Oliver Chilton, master blender at Elixir Distillers. The rich and smoky single malts from the south coast of Islay are blended with a fresher and fruitier style from the north. The Cask Edit expression is a blend of three types of casks: refill, bourbon, and sherry, coming together to offer a tasting experience that is both fresh and spicy, with a smoky character.
Colour : Pale gold.
Nose : Fresh, smoky. Citrus, iodine, smoked bacon.
Palate : Indulgent, sweet. Baked apples, salted butter caramel, dark chocolate.
Finish : Precise. Apple pie, gentle spices, tea.
Profile : Fresh, spicy.
