This Bourbon Cask version is a blend of single malt whiskies from Islay aged exclusively in first and second-fill bourbon casks. Bottled at a higher proof, this whisky reveals a unique character with flavors that are both fruity and smoky, blending with the fresh and exotic character of a distillery located on the north coast of Islay. Elements of Islay unveils its new range composed of three 70cl expressions: Cask Edit, Bourbon Cask, and Sherry Cask. Each recipe is the result of blending single malt whiskies from Islay and perfectly portrays the flavor landscape of this wild little island.
Colour : Bright gold.
Nose : Intense, smoky. Citrus, vanilla, iodine.
Palate : Dense, indulgent. Dried meat, campfires, baked apples.
Finish : Long. Dark chocolate truffle, gentle spices.
Profile : Powerful, indulgent.
