Del Professore gin embodies the spirit of the Italian herbal tradition. The production method, known as the "bathtub", dates back to the Prohibition era, in which a container, even a bathtub, was enough to mix alcohol distillates and various herbs, spices and peels in cold infusion. The production is totally handmade and that is why very few bottles are available for each batch. The Professor's Gin brand includes Professor À La Madame's Gin and Professor Monsieur's Gin. The recipe includes a skilful blend of herbs and spices including Tuscan and Umbrian juniper, lavender, angelica, rose, chamomile and others, which, emphasized by the sweetness of the infusion with cinnamon and vanilla, give life to an unusual product with intense floral notes. Tasting Notes for Del Professore Gin Monsieur Del Professore Gin Monsieur is completely different to any other gin on the market, with intense notes of juniper and an incredible, highly spiced, aromatic profile with notes of cardamom, lavander, camomile and orange. There is a lovely natural sweetness present from the infusion of sweet spices like cinnamon and vanilla which give the gin a delicious softness and round mouthfeel.
