The Speymalt Macallan range, whose oldest vintage dates from 1938, marks the long-standing collaboration between the prestigious Scottish distillery Macallan and the famous independent bottler Gordon & Macphail.
This Single Malt from 2001, bottled at its natural degree in 2022, reveals a beautiful density and great power. The tasting reveals fruity, honeyed, even woody and roasted notes, which make this Single Malt an exceptional whisky.
Macallan Speymalt Gordon & Macphail 2001-2022 is an exceptional single malt, distilled in 2001, and matured for over two decades. Macallan Speymalt Gordon & MacPhail 2001-2022 was distilled in 2001 and matured in refill sherry hogshead #10046804. It was bottled in 2022 at 54.5%. On the nose, rich stewed fruit aromas give way to Seville orange peel with festive spices. Fruitcake flavours are complemented by toasted oak, roasted coffee beans and toffee apples. The finish is full and spicy with a touch of black pepper. One of 266 bottles.
