After being awarded ‘Best in Class’ at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition, our Benromach Aged 40 Years went on to be crowned best overall whisky/whiskey in the competition, receiving the coveted ‘Best in Show’ accolade.
Matured in the finest sherry casks, this 40 years old single malt delivers fragrant spices and stewed red berries, followed by Morello cherry, dark chocolate and mature oak.
Rich and ample. Cinnamon, citrus, dark chocolate.
Nose : Fragrant cinnamon and ginger spices with Seville orange. Stewed red berries develop with a hint of roasted hazelnut.
Palate : Sweet Morello cherry flavours combine with baked apple and liquorice. Rich dark chocolate notes leading to fruitcake and subtle black pepper.
Overall : Full with forest fruits and mature oak.
