Signatory Vintage is one of Scotland’s most respected independent whisky bottlers. Since its founding in 1988, Signatory has been known for its uncompromising focus on quality, authenticity, and transparency. The whiskies are often bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring, allowing the true character of the distillery to shine through. The result is honest, characterful bottlings – often from single casks – aimed at both collectors and curious whisky enthusiasts.
Edradour Distillery is one of Scotland’s smallest and most traditional distilleries and a true icon among whisky aficionados. Located in Perthshire, Edradour produces whisky in extremely small quantities using classic, almost museum-like production methods: small stills, manual handling, and slow distillation. Annual production is only around 100,000 litres – less than what many industrial distilleries produce in just a few days.
The style is known for its full-bodied, oily mouthfeel and rich profile with notes of dried fruit, nuts, spices, and dark malt. Edradour works extensively with different cask types, including sherry, wine, and rum casks, and often bottles its whisky without chill filtration and with natural colour. The distillery is also behind the heavily peated Ballechin range, which showcases a very different – yet equally uncompromising – side of Edradour’s DNA.
Edradour is whisky that feels handcrafted in the most literal sense – and it is precisely this that has earned the distillery cult status among collectors and connoisseurs.
