Distilled a year after the distillery was bought out by Andrew Symington, this version, which has reached maturity, is absolutely magnificent in power, concentration and smoothness. Restoring a hundredfold the fruity, floral and malty character inherent in Edradour, it above all highlights a profusion of spices, each more noble than the next, as well as surprisingly intense and remarkably integrated animal sequences.
