A new standard in Japanese gin, Sui combines the traditional 8 gin botanicals juniper berry, coriander seed, angelica root, cardamom, cinnamon, bitter orange peel and lemon peel, and adds yuzu (Japanese citron), ryokucha (green tea) and ginger, for a uniquely Japanese, refreshing taste which can be enjoyed not only in a bar, but also pairs well with everyday meals. The name Sui 翆means “Kingfisher”, the bold kanji character is inked by master calligraphy Tansetsu Ogino. The kanji 翡翠for which also means "Jade," appears on the bottle, its tall hexagonal shape reflecting clear and beautiful blue-green coloured accents, conveying Suntory's hope that Sui spreads its wings in the Japanese gin market.
