William Grant & sons is the oldest family distillery of the Whisky industry. Founded in 1887 and five generations later, it is still managed at present by the descendants of William Grant and his sons. The founder William Grant and his nine children all became part of the workforce.

Worldwide, the company is the third largest producer of Whisky and has a total of six distilleries and exports to over 180 countries. William Grant & sons also blends Whisky such as single malts and triple malts and also burns the Grants family reserve Scotch Whisky. This is one of six creations of the diversified blended range of the company and the recipe is a secret. Brian Kinsman the master blender uses at least 25 single malts and grain Scotch Whiskies to create the perfect foundation.

The Grants Family Reserve Scotch Whisky is based on the Whisky of the Girvan Distillery which can be defined as a lighter and quite sweet Scotch. On arriving on the palate the Grants family reserve Scotch Whisky unfolds its complexity, which however should not overwhelm you beginners. Its  diverse fruity note dominates which gives the reserve its special character.

The aroma of the Grants family reserve Scotch Whisky presents light dried barley. An aromatic, not tart scent of orange reaches the nose on top of that.

On tasting the excellent Grants family reserve Scotch Whisky it feels round and soft. The connoisseur receives a succulent taste of orange, balanced vanilla as well as an unusual sound of Chamomile tea which can rarely be found in a Scotch.

The finish of the Grants family reserve Scotch Whisky is long, dry with slight grassy notes.

The precious bottle is trumped only by the golden bright color of the Whisky. This flagship Whiskey makes an appreciated gift and should be stocked in all good bars and restaurants as a standard.

This complex Whisky has won several sought-after awards: 2009 a gold medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition, 2011 a gold medal at the Scotch Whisky Masters and in 2013 won the World Whiskies award as the best Scotch blend.
